This tea is filled with inflammation and free-radical fighting ingredients. If the recipe is too strong for you reduce the cayenne, ginger, and turmeric until you find a good balance for you, then work your way up.
PrintInflammation Knock-Out Tea

Ingredients
4 cups water
½ – 1½ tsp. turmeric* (work your way up)
3” piece of ginger peeled and sliced into thin circles
2 Tbsp. goji berries, optional
Up to ¼ tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. whole cloves or ½ tsp. ground cloves
4 cinnamon sticks**
1½ tsp. whole cardamom pods, cracked
Raw honey, optional
Instructions
In a medium sauce pan add the water and bring to a boil.
Add in turmeric, sliced ginger, goji berries, cayenne, cloves, cinnamon sticks and cracked cardamom pods.
Cover and remove from heat. Allow tea to steep for 20-30 minutes.
Pour tea through a sieve and into a mug or quart jar.
Optional: Stir in 1 tsp. raw honey per serving.
Notes
*If using fresh turmeric, scrub and/or peel the skin. Replace 1″ fresh turmeric with 1/2 tsp. dried.
**Allow cinnamon sticks to dry out again after use and use them in 1-2 more batches of tea.
