Perfect Bacon

Cooking bacon can be a messy job, especially if your trying to cook it in a frying pan with grease splattering everywhere the clean up takes just as long as the cooking.

What if there was a way to cook bacon, to perfection, with no splatter to deal with and very little clean up?

There is and I’d like to teach you.

Perfect Bacon

  • Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb. bacon

Instructions

Line a baking sheet with foil (to catch the grease).  Place a cooling rack on the baking sheet and arrange the bacon in a single layer on a wire rack.

Place bacon in cold over and turn heat to 425 degrees F.

As the oven temperature rises it will slowly cook the bacon.  Generally, once the oven has reached 425 degrees the bacon will be ready.

Bake until the bacon reaches the desired doneness, this should take a total of 10 to 20 minutes from the time you place it in the oven. (Because the cooking time depends on the thickness of the bacon and how you like it cooked, check it at the 10-minute mark.)

Remove baking sheet from the oven and allow the bacon to cool and the grease to drip into the pan.

Notes

You won’t need to turn the bacon over because the wire rack will allow it to cook on both sides.
