Cassava Flour Pizza Crust

Ingredients

Scale

1 egg
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup cassava flour
1/2 cup arrowroot
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. Italian seasoning, optional

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425° F with a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven.

Combine wet ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk until well combined.

Add remaining dry ingredients a little at a time, stirring until well combined. Allow dough to sit for about 5 minutes for it to firm up a bit.

Apply a little olive oil to your hands, scoop the dough out of the mixing bowls, and form it into a ball.

Place the dough ball on a sheet of parchment paper and press it into a 10″ crust. If using your hand, apply more olive oil to your hands if they start sticking to the dough.
You can use a rolling pin if you want but place another sheet of parchment paper on top of the dough to prevent sticking.

Remove the hot baking sheet or pizza stone from the oven, turn the baking sheet top-side down and slide the parchment paper with the formed dough onto the sheet.

Bake about 12-15 minutes, just until it begins to get slightly golden.

Remove from oven, add toppings, return to oven, and bake until cheese is melted or crust edges get really golden.
