It has been said that there are 10 times more cells from microorganisms like bacteria and fungi in and on our body than there a human cells that make up our entire body. Whatever the actual number is, that’s a lot of microscopic creature activity! Basically we are all just a walking city. But what do these organisms do for us?
These organisms are called the microbiome and they do a lot for us! They counteract inflammation and control the growth of disease causing bacteria. They produce vitamins, amino acids, absorb minerals and eliminate toxins. If your microbiome is healthy it can help control and reduce allergies, benefit your mood and have a positive impact on your weight.
