1/3 cup cacao powder
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup unsweetened nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew)
1/4 cup raw honey
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup unsweetened nut butter (peanut, almond, cashew)
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350° Line an 8″ x 8″ baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a hand mixer combine cacao powder, almond flour, 1/2 cup peanut butter, honey, vanilla, salt, and baking powder together and mix until smooth and creamy.
Spread batter into prepared baking dish and bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Spread remaining 1/2 cup Peanut butter evenly over the warm brownies. Allow to cool completely.
When brownies are cool prepare the chocolate topping.
Chocolate Topping:
In a double boiler* over medium heat add the chocolate chips and stir until melted.
Makes 16 bars
*Create your own double boiler by using a small saucepan and a glass bowl. Place a small amount of water in the saucepan. Allow the water to come to a boil, then turn off the heat. Place the chocolate chips into the glass bowl and put the glass bowl into the saucepan. Stir ingredients until the melt together.
